Terrazzo Apartment in Sao Paulo

Terrazzo Apartment in Sao Paulo

The owners of Terrazzo Apartment entrusted Studio Arthur Casas with the task of creating a modern and sophisticated retreat for their stays in São Paulo. The project seamlessly blends functionality, design, art, and technology, resulting in a harmonious and elegant space.

The standout feature is the granilite flooring, inspired by Carlo Scarpa's Olivetti showroom, which unifies the social areas. The contrast of materials is also evident in the kitchen, where a stainless-steel island is balanced by minimalist wooden cabinetry. The embedded lighting follows the "no visible light" concept, ensuring a soft and focused illumination.

Art curation plays a key role in the decor, featuring works by Beatriz Milhazes, Anish Kapoor, Frans Krajcberg, and Tunga, as well as designer furniture that includes iconic pieces.

The apartment also includes a versatile office, which can be enclosed with sliding doors, and two well-planned bedrooms. The master suite embraces earthy tones and sophisticated furnishings, while the second suite welcomes guests with contemporary design and an artistic touch.

In the bathrooms, Carrara marble covers the surfaces, reinforcing the project's elegance. Technology is discreetly integrated throughout, with automation and motion sensors maintaining minimalism and sophistication as the project's guiding principles.
